We start our journey at 11:00 from the port of Ouranoupolis, a small village at the edge of the frontier between the Holy Mountain and the rest of the world.
This tour departs from the port of Ouranoupolis, a small community on the edge of the Holy Mountain’s border with the rest of the world, at 11:00 a.m.
After around 5 minutes of sailing, you’ll come across the monastic city’s boundaries, which are defined on the ground by an imaginary line that runs from “Fragocastro” on the west coast to “Arapis” on the opposite end.
From here, we reach the Mount Athos region, and you can sense the spiritual air of this place even as you stand on the deck of our boat as we travel down the peninsula’s shoreline, passing by the majestic monasteries clinging to the cliffs.
